A series of six digital collage studies made in 2018 as a means of experimenting with “remixing” an older work, in this case the physical collage piece from 2012 titled “El Born” which was created from cut-up photographs taken in the Born District of Barcelona. Each of these pieces used that collage as a textural basis upon which other images taken around Europe in 2013 are added as a visual focal point. The spirit of these works and the naming system for this series were inspired by the music of Joy Division.
