A passage in time

 

An unbuilt design proposal for a spiritual retreat in the New Mexican desert southwest of Santa Fe created as a Master’s Thesis from 2015 to 2016. This project sought to utilize a cohesive marriage of phenomenological and sustainable design principles in order to alter an individual’s perception of time in a healthy and constructive way. This was to be accomplished via a materially, experientially, fully integrative, contextual connection with cosmic, geological, biological, socialized, and personal time facilitated by vernacularly inspired architecture.
