conversing with divinity
An unbuilt design proposal done in 2013 in collaboration with Ana Maria Román Andrino for a kindergarten at the intersection of 13th St. NW and New York Ave. in Washington, D.C. This project sought to encapsulate the wondrous soul of childhood by educating children in a novel, innovative way within a place previously conceived of only in dreams. This was accomplished through the creation of three acontextual, distinct but interrelated towers formally and materially based around sound: silence, listening, and loudness.
