item 05: sakawa [ep]

 

The fifth chapter in the ongoing A Virtual Memory audio-visual art project, this brief album, released at the very end of 2017 and heavily inspired by the Ghanian practice of “Sakawa”, is a collection of disparate works meant to express the interactions between complexity and contraction in socialized time: the distant past and the distant future, the natural and the mechanical, sincerity and fraud, ritual practice and information technologies. The musical and artistic diversity of this release is a direct reflection of these concepts.
