Memory Void

 

A series of twelve digital collage pieces made in 2019 that served as a retrospective “remixing” of an earlier multi-media series of works completed in 2009 that dealt with the various stages of life from birth to childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, middle age, old age, and death. While that series expressed those themes in a more literal, surrealistic manner using the physical media of paint, pencil, and pastel, this series aimed to deconstruct and abstract those ideas digitally down to their emotional and experiential core to facilitate reflection.
